In March 2010, fifteen Indigenous singers participated an intensive Masterclass with experienced and professional
Artistic/Stage Director, Elizabeth Falk and Music Director, Martin Piecuch from New York. Internationally acclaimed Soprano, Deborah Cheetham from Victoria joined the
group to lend her expertise and support to the participants of the Masterclass. Deborah was also special guest artist at the concert performance at the end of the four
day Masterclass. Chorus Master, Linda Barcan and Accompanist Toni Lalich were also part of the team.
At the end of the Masterclass a concert was performed in the courtyard of Abmusic in Manning Road, Waterford and
the appreciative audience consisted of family, friends, members of the press and representatives from the Department of Culture and the Arts and the Department of Indigenous
Affairs.
The performance focused on a selection of Negro spirituals in four part harmonies and everyone in the audience
wondered at the achievement in just four days of this very talented group of singers
